No more cast
02.01.11 I was really having problems with my cast and I wanted it off...badly. I started biting at the bottom and got a big part of the cast off. Mom called the surgeon and he wanted me to come in, so he could take a look at what was going on. Dad went to pick up the kids from school and Mom and Toria took me in to the doctor.
They finished taking my cast off...I helped by getting the bottom off! The surgeon looked at my foot and decided that my toes were stable enough to be without the cast. YAY!! I still have a few sores that need to heal, but I have been cleared to run, play and be myself again! It feels so good to have the cast off and to not have to worry about getting it wet from the snow.
Cast modification
Do you like the new color that has been added to my cast? My cast was really bothering me and Mom and Dad noticed some blood coming through up at the top of the bandage. So, Mom held me down and Dad started to cut the top of the bandage away to see what the problem was. The side of the cast was rubbing against my leg and making a sore. It rubbed just enough to make my leg bleed. They had to gauze me up and then wrap the top of the cast. I felt a lof better after that.
Nap Time
01.30.10 I have been quite lazy lately. Can you blame me...it's really cold outside! I love to be all bundled up and warm...I even took 2 pillows this time!

01.26.10 I had to go in to the doctor today to have my foot looked at. The bottom of my cast got a little bit wet and needed to come off...it was starting to smell! They removed my cast and gave me this cool new orange one. Blake was really happy that the new one got to be orange!

Here I am showing off my new cast protector. The stitching on my old boot came apart, so the lady that made it for me gladly replaced it!! She is so nice.
